About the project

The idea for Luke’s House was born out of the personal experience. Eight years ago Darren and his wife Maria had twins Jack and Luke. They were born very prematurely at just 27 weeks and just two weeks latter Jack died. Despite the odds Luke survived, but he suffers from cerebral palsy. Due to the significant level of care he has received he is able to live life to the full.On a recent trip to India Darren witnessed first hand the stark difference in the level of care and opportunity for support for disabled children there. In conjunction with existing contacts in India this new project has begun and a home will be built called Luke’s House on suitable land that was identified during Darren’s trip.
